Magnolia figo / Michelia figo – Banana shrub (6″ pot)

Description Previously known as Michelia figo. This is a medium size shrub for full to partial sun although we prefer to give it a break from the hot sun. It flowers mainly from fall-spring although flowers can be seen year round in a tropical climate. The flowers have a wonderful intoxicating scent. This plant is unusual and not found too easily for sale. I would recommend this as a substitute for Michelia alba. It is in general a smaller plant which can be grown in a pot. The flowers are also super fragrant and it blooms much younger than M. alba.
