10 Pack Grow Bags with Handles, 5 Gallon Heavy Duty Thickened Non-Woven Plant Bags

UPDATE Jan/2025: It’s been 3 full years using this product in garden. While their size limits what plants can thrive (micro-dwarf tomatoes; some herbs & small peppers) these have lasted VERY well. Only damage I’ve had is the occasional skunk tearing into the bag to find soil grubs.Original review in 2022: Can’t give 5 stars until this product has proven itself worthy; only in the future can I know for sure. However, my first impression is quite favourable.These are the 3rd set of grow bags I’ve received this year (the first 2 from Folia Grow). I bought them as a 10 pk for a discounted price of $12.73. I already 7 and 10 gallon bags so I got these 5 gallon as I needed smaller bags. I transplanted several plants from 5 gallon buckets into them found them equivalent in size. I actually had to add more soil, so while they look smaller than the buckets, I believe they are correct in volume.The fabric is very thick – thicker than Folia Grow – and the handles are reinforced with extra fabric on the inside for double thick attachment. I doubt they will give way easily. The lifting straps are also a good thick quality nylon – they won’t deteriorate quickly either. However, at the base the stitching a few bags looked a little loose and that concerns me. But I like that the seam is on the outside instead of inside the bag. There is no stitching around the top of the bag, which at first glance disappointed me, but it doesn’t anymore. The last thing I can think of to tell you is the tactile feel of the fabric. It’s rough and itchy, making it somewhat unpleasant to touch. I used gloves when planting and handling these bags. It’s rather odd but, maybe someone with sensitive skin will find this objectionable.I was in a pinch to transfer plants due to weather and growing conditions so I bought these in a hurry. When I placed the order, it stated clearly that they would arrive on August 25. The order confirmation did NOT mention delivery, so 12 hours later I got a message it would be delivered August 26. Yes. This a quibble, but I’ve checked back several times on this product and found it ALWAYS shows a next day delivery. So whose fault is this? Amazon or Vendor? It isn’t the delivery person, so I gave him 5stars. But something isn’t quite right somewhere.Anyway, bottom line. For the price (discounted) these seem a good value and good quality. I cannot vouch for their longevity, so 4 stars.
